These little crystals are mounted onto surgical steel posts and then suspended in a conductive solution for a period of close to 24 hours while copper is slowly deposited using electricity.
By then end of the electroforming process, the stones have been encased in a organic setting that looks like it has been ‘grown’ around the stones. The settings are made from 100% recycled copper, and then plated in 14K gold.
Earring backs are also surgical steel.
